Joanne M. Choi is a seasoned freelance writer who specializes in regional lifestyle pieces and currently contributes to Color Magazine, AsianBoston Magazine, and Boston Event Guide. In addition to working on a trio of young adult novels, she also has two active beauty & fashion blogs. Joanne graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a B.A. in European studies and a minor in French. Post college, she spent time living and working in Japan and Korea. Her time there interacting with these cultures provides the basis from which she draws much of her writing inspirations. A proud native Bostonian, she craves New England Clam Chowder even in the summer and loves cheering on her favorite Celts players KG and Rondo. Joanne is committed to her volunteer time with Boston Cares and The Women's Lunch Place and recently had the opportunity to travel to Haiti and actively experience the re-building of communities there.
